Dr. Jenny Bennett (Dr. Jenny Berg)
Dr. Jenny Bennett (Dr. Jenny Berg) is a naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist and founder of Aria Integrative Medicine. She received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Prior to medical school, she received her BS in Pharmacological Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Bennett utilizes treatments from both Eastern and Western medical practices to find the best approach for treating all diseases. She recognizes that every person expresses conditions differently, therefore each person needs to have an individualized treatment plan for that condition. Her extensive knowledge in conventional and alternative medicine allows her to provide the best possible care for her patients.
Dr. Bennett’s special interests include treating a wide variety of conditions associated with autoimmune disorders such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Graves’ Disease, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis. Since having been diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2013, she has a deep appreciation for the effect that thyroid conditions have on people, and has developed sincere compassion for those living with lifelong chronic conditions.
When she is not busy seeing patients at Aria Integrative Medicine, she enjoys spending time with her partner, new baby and crazy dog, exploring all the pacific northwest has to offer. She also teaches Rheumatology at Bastyr University and has participated on the Board of Directors for the Autoimmune Advocacy Alliance. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
Dr. Melinda Bower
Dr. Melinda Bower is a naturopathic doctor who received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Dr Bower completed a one year residency at Bastyr Center for Natural Health. Prior to medical school she received her BS in Environmental Science from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH. Dr Bower also teaches herbal medicine and gynecology at Bastyr University. In 2015, she was recognized by her peers as one of Seattle’s “Top Doctors.”
Dr Bower’s clinical interests include thyroid disorders, women’s health, autoimmune diseases and digestive disorders. She works with people to optimize health while utilizing a variety of tools including nutritional support, botanical medicine, and the foundations of health to achieve health. Dr. Bower’s integrative approach to medicine focuses on addressing the root cause of illness rather than just looking at the symptoms. Dr. Bower works with women, men, and adolescents. She focuses on preventative medicine. She specializes in chronic disease management and sees conditions including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, hashimotos, graves disease, celiac disease, and IBS. She sees patients with a variety of women’s health issues including PCOS, menstrual irregularities, menopausal symptoms, infertility, uterine fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, insomnia, and anxiety. Rayna is a certified Nutrition Coach and is currently pursuing her final year of her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture from Bastyr University. Rayna received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition with a didactic emphasis in Dietetics from the University of Arizona. Prior to attending Bastyr, Rayna studied abroad in Verona, Italy at a local culinary school where her passion for the Mediterranean lifestyle and food culture flourished. She spearheaded the start-up of a farmer’s market in her local community and has worked professionally as a recipe developer for Whole Foods Market and Greens Cookery magazine. She has also spent time creating and teaching cooking classes and demos.
Rayna is now offering single one-on-one nutrition coaching and six- or twelve-month individualized nutrition programs that focus on intuitive eating and the foundations of health. In addition, she will be offering homeopathy appointments, constitutional hydrotherapy treatments, as well as teaching online public and private cooking classes.
In her spare time, Rayna is an artist at heart. She is the owner of her small business that sells her handcrafted artwork highlighting the beauty of mother nature. Rayna also enjoys being outside, exploring nature by kayaking or hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Chad.
Cori joined Aria with over a decade’s experience of administration in alternative clinics. With a BA in religious studies focusing on yogic philosophy, she is particularly interested in the connection between physical and mental health through the lens of mindfulness. She is trained in aromatherapy, reiki, and as a yoga teacher.
