Introducing Dr. Melinda Bower!
We are thrilled to announce a new addition to the Aria Integrative Medicine team! Dr. Melinda Bower will be joining us starting June 1, 2017, adding a unique women’s health perspective to our practice, along with a wealth of knowledge in thyroid disorders, autoimmune diseases, and digestive disorders.
Dr. Bower received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA, followed by a one-year residency at Bastyr Center for Natural Health here in Seattle. Prior to medical school, she received her BS in Environmental Science from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH. More recently, she has been working with the Institute of Complimentary Medicine and continues to be involved with Bastyr, where she currently teaches herbal medicine and gynecology. In 2015, she was also given recognition as one of Seattle Metropolitan magazine’s “Top Doctors.”
Dr. Bower’s mission centers on working with women, men, and adolescents to optimize their health while utilizing a variety of tools including nutritional support, botanical medicine, and the foundations of health to achieve full-body wellness. Her integrative approach to medicine focuses on preventative medicine, addressing the root cause of illness rather than just the symptoms, and a specialized approach to chronic disease management. She treats every patient with an individualized plan in working toward optimal health, and is dedicated to helping you restore health and wellbeing in your life.
Dr. Bower can be seen for a variety of women’s health issues, including PCOS, menstrual irregularities, menopausal symptoms, infertility, uterine fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, insomnia, and anxiety, as well as thyroid, autoimmune, and digestive concerns, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s, Grave’s disease, celiac disease, and IBS.
